The Simon Family JCC located in Virginia Beach has immediate positions for Certified Lifeguards Seasonal and year-round positions available. We seek safety-minded individuals with a passion for aquatics who enjoy working in a face-paced environment and will help to oversee our state-of-the-art recreational pools, both indoors and out. 

 

Lifeguard Job Summary 
The primary responsibility of the lifeguard is to ensure the safety of any member or guest using the indoor or outdoor aquatics facilities of the Simon Family JCC. Responsibilities include supervising recreational swimmers through proper scanning and consistent rule enforcement, preventing accidents and injuries and providing emergency intervention. 

 

Requirements for Lifeguards 

• Current certification American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
• Certified Pool Operators, preferred
• 16 years of age or older, preferred
